How To Link Aadhaar With Your EPF Account Online?

The 12 digit Aadhaar card number is required for a number of things now. It has become compulsory to link your Employees Provident Fund account with your Aadhaar numbers.

How to link Aadhaar to EPF online?

Using online facility of EPFO you can easily link your Aadhaar to EPF. Check out the steps involved in this.

Step 1
Go to EPFO Unified EPF Portal and login to the portal using your UAN number and Password.

 

 

Step 2

After you log in, there will be a new screen. Go to the Manage tab, and select the KYC option from the drop-down menu.

Step 3

After selecting KYC you will get options to update Bank details, PAN details, Aadhaar, Passport, Driving License, Election Card, Ration Card or NPR. Select Aadhaar from these options.

Step 4

Click on Aadhaar. Enter the Aadhaar number and also the name as it appears in Aadhaar Card correctly. If there is any mismatch between your names, you can not complete this step. Then click on SAVE tab.

Name issues

Many EPF account holders will face the issues here. You can't perform it if names are different. Due to a mismatch in names or service issues with either EPFO or UDAI, you may be unable to update it. If your name on Aadhaar card is different, inform it to the employer.

 

Approval

After saving you can view the same under pending KYC option. You need to wait for around 15 days for approval. If it is approved, then your Aadhaar status will be available in "Approved KYC" area.
