Unique Cust ID helps the bank to identify customers, track the facilities availed, monitor financial transactions in a comprehensive and combined manner at a customer level.
One of the largest private-sector bank in India, the HDFC Bank, offers a multitude of services via its net banking platform. From transferring funds to finding balances, paying credit card bills, and more, HDFC account holders can access these services through the HDFC net banking website or a mobile app.
If you are using net banking facility, you will be very familiar with the Customer ID or User ID. The Customer ID is mentioned in the welcome letter and cheque book. It is also mentioned on the first page of Passbook and Account Statement.
To log into the HDFC net banking account, the customer needs the following details such as customer ID/user ID and IPIN / password are required. The customer ID is an individual identification number which is provided to each customer holding a savings / current account with the HDFC bank. The customer ID remains the same if you are having multiple accounts in HDFC bank on your name.
Steps to retrieve customer ID:
If you forget your customer ID of HDFC bank account, you can retrieve it online in few simple steps.
Step 1: To retrieve your customer ID number online, go to the HDFC NetBanking website, search for question mark(?) written as "forgot password?" icon and click on.
Step 2: Enter your registered mobile phone number (with country code), capturing code, your PAN and date of birth details.
Step 3: Authenticate using the OTP protocol sent to your registered mobile phone number.
Step 4: The unique customer ID is displayed in advance on the screen.

NR accounts are maintained by Indian nationals and Persons of Indian origin resident abroad, foreign nationals and foreign companies in India. Firms and Trusts
If you are an authorized signatory of Firm, Company, Trust, any other non-individual entity, use the PAN details of the non-individual entity to get your Customer ID.
