To ease the work of employers to provide its new joinee with a UAN or Universal Account Number that is now on required for availing all of the EPF related services can now be obtained yourself. Earlier the EPFO announced welcoming news for job aspirants who also can avail Aadhaar -UAN for future PF contribution and services.

The new facility is now all available for new employee base, aspirants and even for those who have the EPF accounts but do not have the necessary UAN account till date.

But the pre-requisite to get the UAN online is that you need to have the Aadhaar identity. This also ensures that only one UAN shall be issued per person.

To Secure UAN online follow these steps:

1. Visit the UAN member portal. Then there is a link provided for Aadhaar-verified UAN allotment towards the bottom of the page on the right hand side.

2. Then put in your Aadhaar number, for the authentication, an OTP shall be sent over to your mobile number registered with the UIDAI. Then after verification, the system shall extract all the needed information from the Aadhaar database and auto-populate it.

3. Post this, you will receive the PF related UAN number via SMS.
