The Ayushman Bharat PMJAY is India's flagship public health insurance scheme that provides cashless treatment up to Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care. The Ayushman Bharat card or the PMJAY card is used as proof of eligibility, which lets beneficiaries receive care at government-approved empanelled hospitals. So it is very important to have a downloadable PDF version of the card added to your phone or print it for offline use.

Official Portals & Apps to Download PMJAY Card
- You can download your Ayushman Bharat / PMJAY card using any of the following official channels:
- The beneficiary portal at the National Health Authority (NHA) via beneficiary.nha.gov.in (or pmjay.gov.in)
- The official Ayushman app is available on the Google Play Store.
- The DigiLocker platform (if your PMJAY card is linked there under issued documents).
How to Download Ayushman Card via Mobile Number: Step-by-Step Guide
To download your Ayushman card smoothly, you need a mobile number linked to your Aadhaar, an Aadhaar number for e-KYC, and your Family ID or PMJAY ID if available. There are typically no charges for downloading the card; the card generation is free of cost. Here are the steps to download the Ayushmann Card:
Step 1: Open the NHA beneficiary portal (beneficiary.nha.gov.in) or the Ayushman App and choose "Beneficiary" or "Am I Eligible?" as the login option.
Step 2: Enter your registered mobile number and solve the CAPTCHA. Request an OTP and enter it when you receive it.
Step 3: Once logged in, select your state, district, and scheme (PMJAY) and choose a search criterion: mobile number, Aadhaar, Family ID or PMJAY ID. Then click "Search".
Step 4: If prompted, complete e-KYC verification using Aadhaar OTP.
Step 5: Once your family/member details appear, select the relevant family member and click "Download Card". The card PDF containing the PMJAY ID and QR code will be generated for download.
Alternate Way: Get Your Card via DigiLocker or CSC / Hospital
If your Ayushman card is linked to DigiLocker, you can log into DigiLocker (using yourcode will Aadhaar-linked mobile number) and then go to "Issued Documents", search for "Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Ayushman Bharat", enter your PMJAY ID and retrieve the card PDF.
In case of trouble with online methods or no internet access, mobile number mismatch, or OTP issues, beneficiary families can also visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or an empanelled hospital's "Ayushman Mitra" desk for help; they can verify Aadhaar, generate or print the card, and hand over a hard copy.
