Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) on salary is a tax that the company withholds while paying the employee's salary. As a result, your company withholds your money and deposits it with the government on your behalf. If the employer withholds TDS in excess of the actual tax due, a TDS refund claim must be filed.
A TDS refund will be given to people whose financial declarations from the beginning of the year were less than the proof of investment they provided at the end of the year. You might receive your TDS refund sooner if you file your income tax return as soon as possible.

TDS refunds can be claimed by taxpayers by including the deduction in their income tax returns. After the Income Tax authorities verified the claim, the excess amount will be refunded to the respective linked bank account. The deadline for submitting your income tax return (ITR) for the financial year 2022-23 is 31st July 2023.
Claim your TDS returns and check your TDS amount online or offline to keep tabs on your hard-earned money. The responsibility of the taxpayer is to review their tax deductions and deposit taxes into their pay accounts.
Following are the steps to check the TDS amount online
Step 01: Visit the official website at https://www.tdscpc.gov.in/app/login.xhtml
Step 02: Once on the website, you will be prompted to fill in a verification code. After entering the code, click on the 'Proceed' button.
