How PhonePe Users Can Buy ICICI Bank FASTag?

ICICI Bank and PhonePe have announced a partnership to enable FASTag issuance via UPI on the PhonePe App. FASTag is a vehicle identification tag that is operated by 23 banks under the auspices of NPCI and NHAI. It uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to eliminate human intervention in the toll collection system.

Once you have activated your FASTag account, the appropriate toll will automatically be deducted from your account each time the FASTag is used by your vehicle. The government directed the Indian National Highway Authority (NHAI) to transform all highways in FASTag lanes across the national road network. PhonePe users will now have a fully digital experience, with no need to go to physical stores or toll booths to purchase a FASTag.

How PhonePe Users Can Buy ICICI Bank FASTag?

Step 1: Download Phonepe App
Step 2: Click on 'ICICI Bank FASTag' under My Money and Switch section
Step 3: Click on 'Buy new FASTag'
Step 4: Enter the basic details such as PAN, Vehicle Number
Step 5: Make the payment

FASTag is delivered to the doorstep of the customer, which can be mounted on the windshield of the vehicle and used immediately. With this integration, over 280 million PhonePe users can easily order and track the ICICI Bank FASTag on the app.

You must pay double the toll fee in cash if you pass a FASTag-enabled toll booth and your vehicle does not have a FASTag or your card does not have enough balance.

The Indian National Highways Authority (NHAI) deployed a Face-Recognition System for attendance monitoring to local personnel in line with its commitment to adopting technology to enhance transparency and accountableness. The technology also features a real-time capture function to monitor the presence of staff at the project site.

The technology will help NHAI officials easily see the participation of staff at the project's site and its attendance, for all the key personnel/engineers deployed by Authority Engineers / Independent Engineers and Consultants.
