On Friday, to improve the convenience of households, the central government launched a Missed Call Facility for refill connection booking of LPG cylinders. It is hoped to further provide a hassle-free booking of LPG cylinders across the country.

Petroleum and Natural Gas & Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched the facility on Friday at an event in Bhubaneswar.
Indian Oil LPG customers will now need to give a single missed call on the number: 8454955555 for refill booking.
How to book Indane LPG Cylinder via missed call?
The missed call facility requires just one step; that is giving a single missed call from one's registered mobile number on the number: 8454955555 for refill booking.
On doing so, the customer will then receive a message reading that the LPG refill connection booking is successful.
In comparison to the IVRS facility, the LPG cylinder booking using missed calls allows for quick booking as the customer does not have to hold a call for a long time.
No call charges will be imposed on customers as compared to IVRS calls where normal call rates are applicable.
People who are not adept with IVRS or old age customers who face issues in using IVRS facility can opt for refill booking via missed call.
The facility will also come handy when customers do not have an internet connection to make online bookings over payment apps like Paytm or Google Pay.
