LPG prices will be cheaper in June 2024 as oil companies have trimmed the rates of various cylinders. Indian Oil has trimmed the prices of LPG per cylinder in 19 Kg from Rs 69 to Rs 72 from June 1, 2024 onward. Not just that, the OMC has also lowered prices of auto gas which is a small LPG, by Rs 1.5 to Rs 1.7 for the first time since May 2023. However, to enjoy further subsidy on LPG, it is obligatory to link a 12-digit biometric Aadhaar with your LPG connection.
Notably, before linking Aadhaar with an LPG connection, ensure that the biometric is first linked to your bank account. There are four ways to link Aadhaar with an LPG connection such as online, call centre, post, and IVRS. Here's how to link Aadhaar with your LPG Connection:

Link Aadhaar To LPG Connection Online:
Through online mode, the most basic way to link your Aadhaar with an LPG connection is via the UIDAI website. Here are the steps to follow:
Step 1: Visit Visit the website at https://rasf.uidai.gov.in/seeding/User/ResidentSelfSeedingpds.aspx. You will be directed to a page where you will have to fill in the required information.
Step 2: Once done, select '"Benefit Type" as LPG and further add the scheme name as per your LPG connection. For example: Mention 'IOCL' for Indane Gas Connection of Indian Oil, or 'BPCL' for Bharat Gas Connection in place of the scheme name.
Step 3: The third step is to select the "Distributor Name" from the drop-down list and then feed your LPG consumer number in the required section.
Step 4: Further, enter your registered mobile number, EMAIL address, and UID number, and finally click on the 'Submit' button.
Step 5: After Submit, you will asked for a one-time password (OTP) which will be sent to your registered mobile number and email ID. Enter the OTP to proceed further.
Step 6: Once OTP is submitted, your registration has been successful. The next step will be details verification which will be done by the concerned authority and the notification will be sent to the customers' registered mobile numbers and email IDs accordingly.
Link Aadhaar With LPG Connection Through Call:
To link Aadhaar with their cooking gas connection, customers also have the option of calling 18000-2333-555 and following the operator's instructions. This is one of the quickest methods to link.
Link Aadhaar With LPG Connection Via Post:
This is a mixture of offline and online approaches for linking Aadhaar with LPG. All you have to do is download the subsidy registration form and fill in the necessary information. Once done, you can post your registration form at the address that will be mentioned on the website of the LPG gas connection provider.
Link Aadhaar to LPG Connection via IVRS:
Another method to link Aadhaar with LPG is the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) which is put in place by every LPG company. Customers can visit their official LPG connection provider's website, and find the district number before making a call through IVRS mode. The further process is to follow the operator's instructions on the call and your linking will be done soon.
Here are the links to IVRS of the top 3 OMCs:
IOCL's Indane Gas: IVRS link is http://indane.co.in/sms_ivrs.php
BPCL's Bharat Gas Customers: Official Link is www.ebharatgas.com/pages/Customer_Care/CC_IVRSInfo.html
