As the last date March 31, 2023 to link PAN-Aadhaar draws near there seems to be an issue of mismatched details. While linking Adhaar with PAN demographic details such as name, birth date, and gender should match in both the government identification documents.

If either one of the details does not match with the other, the documents will not get linked and after the March 31 deadline, the PAN card will become inoperative from Apri 1, 2023.
If you are not able to link PAN- Aadhaar due to any discrepancy in name, phone number, and birth date, correction is possible. You can correct the details in either PAN or Aadhaar database such that both will have matching details.
"In case of any minor mismatch in Aadhaar Name provided by taxpayer when compared to the actual data in Aadhaar, One Time Password (Aadhaar OTP) will be sent to the mobile registered with Aadhaar. Taxpayers should ensure that the date of birth and gender in PAN and Aadhaar are exactly same." was stated by the UIDAI on the website.
