To provide ease and convenience to post office existing savings account customers such that they can track the status of their account and also initiate fund transfer from one account to another maintained in the post office such as small savings scheme including PPF etc., government a few days back has launched a mobile app referred as 'IPPB Mobile App'.

The app is available on both Android and iOS platforms but the app can be exclusively used by post office customers who have their accounts in CBS post office branches. Also, their net and mobile banking should be enabled by the entity. If not, you have to get them activated by submitting a form with the organization for the purpose. Also, your KYC formality should be completed.
For existing customers, the app can be accessed by logging into the app using the customer's credentials such as ID and password and then they would need to set a 4-digit mPIN using which they can easily keep a track of their savings bank account at the post office.
How To Open Savings Account At Post Office Using IPPB Mobile App?
Also, the app can be used to open a new savings account at the Post Office:
User can download the app on his or her mobile app and then click on the tab which say ' Open your account now'. And herein you are required to key in your mobile number and PAN along with Aadhaar. And upon further verification you will be asked to follow the on-screen instructions for opening the bank account.
Once your account is opened using the newly launched app you can check balance, request statement, stop payment of cheques, pay bills, sweep-in sweep-out as well as transfer fund within the bank or to other accounts.
