What is the Face Recognition Process of Jeevan Pramaan Patra

Pensioners must submit an annual life certificate or Jeevan Pramaan Patra in order to receive a pension by November 30, 2022. Previously, pensioners had to submit their Life Certificate in person to the Pension Disbursing Authority. In fact, there was no way to check the status of life certificate updates in the records of the Pension Disbursing Authority. The government has now developed a Face-Recognition technology system based on the Aadhar database, which will allow anyone with an Android-based smartphone to provide a digital life certificate. What is a Digital life certificate?

The Digital Life Certificate or jeevan praman patra is a a digital service provided to the pensioners to submit the life certificate online. Instead of travelling to the disbursing authority's office to present a physical life certificate, pensioners can generate DLC using the Aadhaar-enabled biometric authentication method.

How to apply for a digital life certificate through face recognition?

• Go to Google Play Store
• Download the Aadhar FaceRD application
• Install the app, it will be visible in the apps menu in settings
• Download the jeevan parman face application from https:// jeevanpramaan.gov.in/package/download
• Select "client installation document for Android face app."
• Provide all the required details
• A link will be received on the registered email ID
• A file will be downloaded when you click on the link, now install the app
• Open the app and provide operator authentication.
• Fill out all of the information and then submit it.
• Enter OTP
• Scan the operator's face.
• The device is now ready for pensioner authentication.

After submission a PPO number with the pramaan ID will appear on your mobile.

Points to be noted-

• Operator authentication is a one time process and the Pensioners might also be the operator.
• Once the operator authentication is complete, a screen for Pensioner authentication will appear on your mobile.
