According to section 35A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has prohibited Paytm Payments Bank (PPBL) from accepting new FASTag activations or recharges. In order to prevent any trouble at the toll plazas, all existing FASTag users must close their Paytm Payments Bank Fastag in the event that there is no balance and apply for a new one from another authorised issuer by March 15, 2024. This is because closing your Paytm Payments Bank FASTag takes at least 5-7 days. Following the removal of Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) from its list of approved issuers, the following is the updated list of NHAI-authorized FASTag issuers.

Documents Required To Apply For FASTag

Both the original and a copy of your KYC document must be carried. You must provide the following documents with your FASTag application:

Individual

• Registration Certificate (RC)
• Passport-size photograph of the vehicle owner.
• KYC documents as per the category of the vehicle owner:
• 1 passport-size photograph
• ID proof and Address proof such as Driving License, PAN Card, passport, voter ID card

Corporate Individual

Public Ltd./ Private Ltd./ Partnership

• Certificate of Incorporation/ Partnership Deed/Registration certificate of the firm
• PAN Card of the corporate
• Photo ID of signing authority
• List of Directors with addresses/Name and addresses of Partners
• Pan Card (if HUF is taken as Customer)
• Udyog Aadhaar
• Sales Tax Registration

Proprietorship

• PAN Card of Proprietor
• Address Proof of the Proprietor
• Shop Act or other Firm Proof

FASTag Helpline Number

MORTH/NHAI/IHMCL has launched 1033 helpline number for addressing FASTag complaints at toll plaza level. Customers can simply dial 1033 from Mobile/Landline for the following issues as per the official website of NHAI.

• Stopped at the plaza for Tag blacklist reason even though Tag is not blacklisted.
• Plaza not accepting FASTag
• Plaza not able to read the Tag
• Plaza not supporting for monthly pass issuance
• Any other applicable issue for FASTag
