
Bharti Airtel, ONGC, Tata Motors and Suzlon Energy, who among the top gainers, were at 3.21 percent, 3.18 percent, 3.03 percent and 2.80 percent up respectively.
Cairn India, Hero Honda, Dr Reddys Labs and GAIL, who among the top losers, were at 1.61 percent, 1.16 percent, 0.75 percent and 0.64 percent down respectively.

Sensex gains 155 pts; Banks lead
At 2:09 pm, the 50-share NSE Nifty rallied 41 points to 5,504 and the 30-share BSE Sensex gained 155 points at 18,378. The Nifty March futures were trading at 16 points premium.
TCS, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, SBI, HDFC, BHEL, Tata Steel, Axis Bank and Sterlite Industries, who among largecaps, were up 0.5-1.6 percent.
However, Cairn, ITC, Hero Honda, L&T, NTPC, Reliance Power, Maruti, Dr Reddy's Labs and Power Grid were the only losers.

Markets continue gains; ONGC, Infy up
At 12:19 pm, the 30-share BSE Sensex gained 136 points at 18,359 and the 50-share NSE Nifty went up 33 points to 5,496. The broader indices too followed the same trend - the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rose 0.9 percent each.
Heavyweights ONGC, Bharti, Infosys, TCS, Tata Motors and HDFC Bank gained 1-2 percent. Reliance Industries, SBI, BHEL and HDFC went up over 0.5 percent.
DLF, Reliance Infrastructure and Jaiprakash Associates rallied 2-2.5 percent.
In midcap space, Gujarat Flourochem, STC India, Jindal PolyFilm, SpiceJet and Money Matters went up 4-6 percent while Essar Shipping, Atlas Copco, BASF, Den Networks and Prestige Estate lost 2-3 percent.
In smallcap space, Jindal Worldwide, Jindal Drilling, Tata Coffee, Arshiya Intl and Symphony jumped 9-13percent whereas Ashoka Buildcon, Insecticides India, R M Mohite, Bheema Cements and Newtime Infra fell 5-6 percent.

Markets begin on +Ve note; Sensex adds 200 pts
Supported by buying in across all sectors, Indian markets began trading with a positive note on Tuesday, Mar 8. BSE Sensex added about 200 point while NSE Nifty started above the 5500 level.
At 10:50 am, the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading at 18,423, up 201 points and the 50-share NSE Nifty gained 51.5 points at 5,514.
Jaiprakash Associates, Reliance Infrastructure, Bajaj Auto, ONGC, Bharti Airtel and Sesa Goa, who among the frontliners, were the top gainers with 1.5-3.5 percent gain.
However, Cairn India was down 1.78 percent, Hero Honda down 1.03 percent, Reliance Power down 0.9 percent and GAIL down 0.63 percent.
