The most traded commodity gold for October delivery on MCX opened high at Rs 28,175 per 10 grams and it touched a new high of Rs 28,284 per 10 grams, but then took an about turn. It was trading between Rs 27,800 – Rs 27,813 per 10 grams around 1:25 pm IST, lower as compared to yesterday same time.
Gold for delivery in far-month April opened high at Rs 29,012 per 10 grams and fell later in the day. It was trading in the range of Rs 28,654 – Rs 28,673 per 10 grams same time.
Though, gold for immediate delivery pushed up little and was seen at Rs 27,996 per 10 grams.
On equities side, the market recovered a bit after the losses.
The Benchmark Index Sensex was up by 193.01 points at 16,535.51 and Nifty was seen up by 62.55 points at 4,961.50.
