The officials of Haryana government including including Deputy Labour Commissioner J P Mann, Assistant Labour Commissioner Nitin Yadav and Gurgaon District Commissioner P C Meena brokered the issue.

Under the agreement, company conditionally agreed to take back 18 trainees whose services were discontinued but did not take back 44 permanent workers who were suspended on charges of sabotage and causing quality problems in cars.

As per the agreement, the company will not pay salaries to the protesting workers on terms of no-work no-pay policy.

Company officials said, "This reinforces the management's position that indiscipline is not acceptable. The agreement will create conducive environment for the company's growth and the workers' prosperity,"

Maruti Suzuki India has lost around Rs 540 crore revenues in the period of two months due to labour unrest at the plant.

Company produced 10,000 cars from Manesar plant against a normal production of 25,000 cars per month, adding revenue loss of Rs 360 crore.

The standoff between the management and the workers started on August 29, when the company asked workers to sign a 'good conduct bond'.

The bond states that workers will "not resort to go slow, intermittent stoppage of work, stay- in-strike, work-to-rule, sabotage or otherwise indulge in any activity, which would hamper the normal production in the factory".

However, normal production is expected from this month as the stand-off between the management and the workers ended.
