Latest reports say that the strike still continues and there are no signs of an end to the labour unrest. Company said on Monday, that it's Gurgaon plant manufactured 1,800 units instead of its regular 2,800 units production.

“The production at the company’s Gurgaon plant has been impacted on Monday due to the strike at Suzuki Powertrain India Limited (SPIL).Supply of diesel engines and also transmissions from Suzuki Powertrain India Limited (SPIL) has stopped,” the company said in a statement.

The workers went on a strike in support of casual workers asking the management to take back their fellow colleagues who were suspended by the company.

The casual workers were terminated on causing quality problems in their cars. The strike renewed right after a week the company settled with the workers.

The company claims that the workers have indulged in many violence activities like beating up company managers, supervisors and those co-workers that are not supporting the strike, the statement declared.

There are an estimated 2,000 protesting workers inside the plant who are on strike, including 700 permanent employees.

On Sunday, the company suspended 10 workers, terminated the services of 5 trainees and dismissed 10 more employees who are the part of the strike.
