The agreement was signed in the presence of senior State government officials, including Deputy Commissioner (Gurgaon) PC Meena, Sub Divisional Magistrate Satyendra Duhan, Labour Commissioner Smt Satwanti Ahlawat and Assistant Labour Commissioner Nitin Yadav.

After an agreement between the management, workers and the Haryana government, the company has decided to re-instate 64 sacked permanent workers and 1200 casual workers at its Manesar plant to avoid any production loss further.

The company denied to take 30 sacked workers whose charges were found to be serious in nature, a source said.

The company has also setup two committees for grievance redressal and labour welfare in order to provide a harmonious working environment.

The workers of the Maruti Suzuki were on 14-day strike since October 7 in support of their fellow colleagues who were terminated by the company.

Workers will not be paid for these 14 days as the agreement also states no-work no-pay clause.

This was the third strike of this year which has resulted into an yearly loss of 60,000 units and overall turnover loss of Rs 630 crore.
