Gold, Silver down on global cues

Gold futures fell further on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), trailing overseas trend. The physical buying in India seems steady despite ongoing wedding season.

Gold for April delivery contract on MCX was trading marginally low at Rs 28,254 per 10 grams lower by Rs 20 at 3.30 pm IST.

While the futures for June contract were seen trading at Rs 28,590 per 10 grams lower by Rs 17.

Spot gold increased and was seen trading at Rs 27,967 per 10 grams and silver rose to Rs 55,718 per kgs.

While, silver for March delivery on MCX was seen trading at 56,851 per kgs lower by Rs 64.

International gold was seen trading at US $1,726 a troy ounce.
