Gold up on global uncertainties

Gold futures gained on Wednesday after slipping in trade on Tuesday. International spot gold oscillated around $1,657 an ounce on Wednesday, as fears over China's growth and a recovering US economy dampened sentiments.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, Gold for April delivery rose by Rs 74 or 0.27% at Rs 27,878 per 10 grams at 2.40 pm IST.

Similarly, the metal for June contract was up by Rs 114 or 0.40% to Rs 28,355. Spot gold also rose and was seen trading at Rs 27,498 per 10 grams.

While, silver for March delivery rose by Rs 391 or 0.69% at Rs 56,857 per kgs.
