Gold for immediate delivery opened at Rs 28,810 per 10 grams and touched an intraday high of Rs 28,874 and was seen trading at Rs 28,830 per 10 grams up Rs 49 or 0.17% at 2.35 pm IST.
Similarly, gold for August delivery was seen at Rs 29,221 per 10 grams up Rs 42.
International spot gold was seen trading at Rs $ 1,637 a troy ounce. Investors around the globe are cautious on any further move as they wait for the US Federal Reserve meet which is being held later today.
Domestically, Gold of 99.9 and 99.5 per cent purity rose by Rs 30 to Rs 29,100 and Rs 28,960 per 10 grams, reports PTI
