Gold trades mix; spot gold seen at Rs 30,703

Gold prices rose marginally on the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold futures for December 2012 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs 30,896 per 10 grams, up by 0.17% at 3.10 pm IST, after opening at Rs 30,875.

While, spot gold on the MCX was seen lower at Rs 30,703 per 10 grams.

International gold recovered marginally on Thursday after it fell to seven-week low on Wednesday. Gold sentiment was affected after Federal Reserve stuck to its monthly purchases of mortgage-backed securities
which boosted the dollar.

Silver futures for December contract was seen trading higher by Rs 422 at Rs 59,422 per kg.

Delhi spot gold of 99.9% and 99.5% purity was seen at Rs 31,270 and Rs 31,070 per 10 grams, respectively.
