Canara bank Q2 net profit slips 22% to Rs 661 crore
Canara bank net profit fell 22% to Rs 661 crore for the quarter ended September 2012 when compared to Rs 852 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year.
The company's total income was up 9% to Rs 9,204 crore as against Rs 8,437 crore in the same period last year.
In the second quarter, the bank made a provision and contingencies of Rs 421 crore towards bad loans, which was lesser when compared to Rs 548 crore a year back.
Capital adequacy ratio of the bank stood at 13.07% in this quarter as against 13.22% in the last quarter.
Shares of the company was seen trading at Rs 416, lower by 0.43% on BSE at 2.50 pm IST.
