Global crude oil price of Indian Basket jumps

The international crude oil price for Indian Basket has jumped to $109.66/barrel (bbl) on 03.01.2013, as against $ 109.39//bbl prevailing on 02.01.2013.

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price went up to Rs 5967.70/bbl on 03.01.2013 from Rs 5949.72/bbl on 02.01.2013. This increase was due to price increase in dollar terms as rupee depreciation moderated most of the increase.

Rupee dollar-exchange rate on 03.01.2013 at Rs 54.42/US$ against Rs 54.39/US$ on previous trading day of 02.01.2013.
