Inflation

The BJP has said that it will control inflation through a series of measures including Special Courts to stop hoarding and black marketing, price stabilisation fund, unbundling real time data to farmers - on production, price, imports, stocks and overall availability, promote and support area specific crops and vegetables linked to food habits of the people.

Employment generation

The Manifesto promises labour intensive manufacturing and tourism, upgradation of infrastructure and housing for job generation. The BJP has also promised to transform employment exchanges into career centres.

Foreign Direct Investment

The BJP Manifesto has made it clear that it would encourage FDI, but not in multi-brand retail. This is largely to keep in mind employment generation.

Taxation

The manifesto has also promised a trusting and non adversarial and conducive tax environment. The party has also said that it would rationalise the tax structure and simplify the tax regime.

NPAs of the banking sector

The BJP manifesto has promised to reduce non performing assets (NPAs) in the banking sector and a regulatory framework for non banking financial companies.

Fiscal discipline

It has also promised fiscal discipline without compromising on funds available for development work. It plans to link MGNREGA to asset creation.

GST

The BJP Manifesto has said that it will bring on board all states to implement the Goods and Services Tax or GST.

Minimise black money

The BJP Manifesto is committed to initiate the process of tracking down and bringing back black money stashed in foreign banks and offshore accounts by setting up a Task Force and recommend amendments to existing laws or enact new laws.
