There are many banking charges that we pay without any reason and fault of ours. Take the case of insufficient money in an ATM machine.
When you use another bank's ATM and there are insufficient notes in that machine it would decline your transaction.

That is not the case however. Actually there were insufficient notes in the ATM Machine and now you are being charged. This does not happen often, but it does happen.
Now you have to take up your case with the bank though the charges are around Rs 30. If you want to fight for justice and get the money back it could be a long and tedious affair.
Another issue these days is that your card could be captured due to a technical problem at the ATM. Sometimes the card gets stuck after the money is withdrawn.
Now instead of following-up on that card which is tedious banks generally ask you to apply for a new card. Many banks charge you for this card.
Now, we wonder why they levy these charges when the fault is not yours altogether. The above are just two charges that are a burden on the consumer. There are many such instances where banks charge unfairly.
It's only fair that the RBI raises up the issue with banks.
