TCS Says Fully Compliant With US Visa Immigration Laws Relating To H-1B Visas
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today said that the company is fully compliant with US immigration laws including those related to H-1B Visas.
In a clarification to the BSE, the company said, "We would like to mention that TCS maintains rigorous internal controls to ensure we are fully compliant with all regulatory requirements related to US immigration laws including those related to H-1B visas.
We would like to affirm our commitment to fair disclosure."
Last week there were reports that the The Department of Labour in the US had opened investigation against Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys for "possible violations of rules for visas for foreign technology workers under contracts they held with an electric utility Southern California Edison." A PTI report quoting the the New York Times in its report.
