The crown for India’s most attractive brand has yet again gone to a South Korea-based company. Smartphone company Samsung dethroned LG as India’s most preferred brand.
The Tata conglomerate is the only Indian brand to feature among the top five in the India's most attractive brands index, climbing three places to the fourth spot on the list which has been topped by South Korean consumer electronics maker Samsung.

Samsung
India's most attractive brand has gone to this South Korea-based company. Samsung, which had occupied the third place last year, pipped LG and Sony to regain the top slot. Tata
Tata, which was at number 7 in 2016 is ranked at number 4 in India's Most Attractive Brands 2017 study, carried out by Trust Research Advisory (TRA) and based on primary research conducted on close to 2,450 consumers across 16 cities. Tata was at number 4 in 2015 and number 5 in India's Most Attractive Brands 2014 study.
LG
The south Korean multinational electronics company headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, has slipped to the second position. LG is followed by Sony in the top 3. Tata, after falling by almost three ranks in 2016 has come back to hold its position to rank 4th in 2017.
Honda
The Japanese public multinational conglomerate corporation Honda grabbed the fifth position after ranking fourth in 2016 and sixth in 2015. Honda is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Shares of Honda trade on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange, as well as exchanges in Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, Kyoto, Fukuoka, London, Paris and Switzerland.
Apple
Honda is followed by Apple, Maruti Suzuki, Hewlett Packard, Bajaj, Dell. The iPhone makers, Apple is the 6th most attractive brand in 2017. The American multinational technology company Apple jumped 12 places after ranking 18th in 2016 and 15th in 2015. TRA survey
The survey for the 4th edition of India's Most Attractive Brands was conducted among 2,456 consumer influencers across 16 cities and generated nearly 5 million data points and 5,000 unique brand mentions, out of which the top 1000 brands have been listed in this year's report.
Patanjali
One of the list's major brand rank climbs Patanjali. Patanjali jumped from ranking 371 in 2015 to ranking 87 in 2016 to make it to rank 12 in 2017. Patanjali is an Indian FMCG company which manufactures mineral and herbal products.
Other brands
Reliance jumped 15 places to occupy the 11th position, while Patanjali vaulted to the 12th place from 87th rank last year. Hyundai, Godrej, and Lenovo ranked 13th, 14th, and 15th respectively in the list. While, Adidas, Airtel, Whirlpool, Google, and Oppo were featured at places from 17 to 20 in the said report.
