As per the Airports Council International (ACI) - ASQ 2017 rankings, Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport of Delhi and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport of Mumbai have acclaimed the position of world's best airports based on customer experience.

These two airports have managed to beat the other best airports in the world including Singapore's Changi, Seoul's airport and many others. This is a boost for the Indian aviation sector given the efforts of the government put to create world class infrastructure. The two international airports tied for the first spot in the ranking and carry passenger count of 40 million on an annual basis.
A worldwide programme ranks the airport in which survey of air passenger was conducted on some of the important performance indicators that include check-in, access to airport, security screening, restrooms, restaurants, stores and other service parameters. The ACI represents 1,953 member airports across 176 countries
IGI Airport of Delhi: Passenger growth has been phenomenal at the IGI airport and has even managed to surpass those at airport of Bangkok, Incheon and others with 63.5 million customers flying from it annually.
On a global scale, the IGI airport has emerged in the list of 20 busiest airports while in Asia it has stood as the seventh busiest airport.
Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport of Mumbai: At Airport Service Quality Awards 2017, ACI declared the airport as the world's best owing to best customer experience.
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport of Hyderabad: The airport has been accoladed as the Best Airport by size with a total of 5-15 Million Passengers
Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport of Lucknow: Again this airport of Lucknow has been titled a winner in the Best Airport by size category.
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport of Ahmedabad: This has been ranked as Best improved Airport in Asia-Pacific region.
