50% of Indian carrier flights and 33% of Dubai airlines flights from to Dubai will be canceled from 16 April 2019 for 45 days.
If you are planning to fly to Dubai next summer, be prepared for the surge in airfares.
According to an Economic Times report, authorities at Dubai Airports have asked Indian carriers to cut their capacity by half during the 45-day closure of runway from April 16, 2019.

Dubai airlines (Emirates and flydubai) are also asked to slash approximately one-third (33%) of their passenger capacity.
The Indian airlines account for about 65,000 seats a week. Those with multiple daily frequencies will be required to cut their capacities by 50%.
ET further reported that the 33% reduction in the two Dubai based carriers will contribute to a reduction in 55% of airport's traffic.
This will mean there will not just be an increase ticket fare but a reduction in the frequency of flights. It is therefore advisable to plan your trip in advance.
