The Indian Railways announced that it will be introducing a new Hamsafar Express train which will run between Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi and Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh. The new Humsafar Express train will operate for three days in a week.

A regular service of the new Humsafar Express train from Anand Vihar to Allahabad is slated to commence from May 10, 2018, and from Allahabad to Anand Vihar from May 12.

Indian Railways has increased the frequency of Humsafar Express train between Anand Vihar and Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh via Barhni and Basti.

The following are the list of 10 things to know about the new Humsafar Express:

1. Humsafar Express will be operated with the train bearing number 22438/22437 for three-days in a week.
2. The new train is aimed at convenience to the passengers.
3. Starting from May 10, the train will hail out of Anand Vihar every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 10:20 am. This train will reach Allahabad at 6:10 am on the following day.
4. The train will depart from Allahabad on every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:20 pm starting from May 12, which will arrive in Anand Vihar Terminal station at 6:15 am the following day.
5. This express comprises 18 AC Three-Tier Coaches.
6. The train will stop at a common point - Kanpur Central station, in both the directions.
7. An inaugural run of the Allahabad-Anand Vihar Terminal Humsafar Special Train will be operated on May 9. The train will depart from Allahabad at 6:30 pm on Wednesday and will arrive at Anand Vihar Terminal at 5:00 am the following day according to Northern Railway.
8. Indian Railways has been announcing new trains, increasing the frequency of the existing operations and upgrading its coaches with a sole aim to improve the convenience of the passengers.
9. The Railways department has increased the frequency of Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar-Humsafar Express train.
10. New coaches has facilities of reading lights for each passenger along with easy upper berth climbing facilities. Other features include baby nappy changing pads and tea/coffee makers.
