NCR Corporation, developer of automated teller machine, has now come up with a one of its kind machine that will perform functions similar to a teller at the bank and to your surprise can even encash cheque in a minute's time. And as part of its testing, as per a leading business daily report, two of the private bankers have deployed such ATM in Gurugram and Bengaluru.

Herein the process of ATM cheque clearance will involve bank's staff and after you click or give instructions for cheque clearance you will be directly connected to the staff of the bank, who will further guide on the procedure. For the verification, concerned person will be able to scan the document via the machine itself and for further authentication, his or her signs need to be attempted on the ATM screen. And upon successful verification, the person will be in receipt of the cash amount against the cheque.

Also, at this stage, you can mention the currency in which you require cash to be dispensed. Provided the bank has tie-up with the bank, both local as well as outstation cheques can be cleared and the facility can be availed 24*7.

As a full-branch substitute, the new machine will also provide cash without using ATM but you need to provide your aadhaar number. Here in biometric authentication is required.
