On Monday, IndiGo announced an expansion in its domestic as well as international network from Mumbai. The decision comes amid the need to cater to the increased demand for these flights after withdrawal of service for several routes by Jet Airways.
In the international segment, the budget airline will add daily non-stop flights to Jeddah, Dammam and Abu Dhabi and domestic services will be launched to several Indian cities including Kochi, Indore, and Patna, it said in a press release.

IndiGo said that it is looking to strengthen its base in the Middle East and sees potential in its connection with Mumbai, a commercial hub.
"We are strengthening Mumbai as a key travel hub for domestic and international connectivity from India. We are adding Jeddah and Dammam effective June 5 and July 5, respectively. Mumbai is the commercial hub of India and we see great potential connecting the Middle-East with this city," it said.
Flight services on the Mumbai-Abu Dhabi route will be operational from 5 July 2019, it said.
Further, to assist the increase in summer traffic and make up for the shortfall in industry capacity, IndiGo will be temporarily adding approximately 20 new departures each from Mumbai and Delhi in a phased manner starting 15 April, according to its statement.
