Vistara, a joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines (SIA), is looking to add six Boeing 737s that earlier belonged to Jet Airways to its fleet. According to a Moneycontrol report, the airline is also conducting a recruitment drive this week for cabin crew members which may attract employees of Jet Airways that haven't received their salaries for the previous month.

The carrier currently does not have Boeing aircraft in its fleet but holds 22 Airbus 320 planes. After adding the aircrafts from Jet Airways, it will become the second Indian airlines besides Air India to have a mixed fleet of narrow-body Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
On 16 April, Jet Airways announced that it would cease all its operations, both domestic and international with immediate effect. Meanwhile, Vistara added 14 new flights in April, mainly from Mumbai.
Other Indian airlines have also been expanding their frequencies and network amid the flight cancellations from Jet Airways. IndiGo and Spicejet have collectively added over 100 flights in the last three months with the latter adding 27 aircrafts from Jet Airways' fleet.
Jet Airways employees now await the results of the bidding process, where four suitors are expected to submit their bids by 10 May, to decide the fate of their employer.
