The housing major HDFC reported its earnings for the quarter ended March which came in higher with net profit at Rs. 2,861.6 crore versus CNBC-TV18 poll of Rs 2,576.2 crore
Revenue also came in higher by 24.3% (YOY) at Rs 11,580 crore versus in the same quarter a year ago of Rs 9,317 crore .
Net interest income rose 27 percent to 2,862 crore.
After the announcement of the results, the stock of HDFC gained to 1.4 percent to Rs 1,958.75.
