On June 27, the low-cost air carrier Indigo revised its cancellation or change charges for both domestic and international flights. The new rates come into effect from today.

Indigo in a official release said, the action has been taken to streamline the process of air ticket cancellation. Further, the revision becomes applicable in a case only when the cancellation is being done between zero to 3 days from the flight date. And in case, the change is being requested for 4 or more days prior to the travel dates revised rates do not come into force.

In case the cancellation is made between 0-3 days prior to the departure date, the fee is Rs. 3500 while if the same is requested 4 or more days in advance then a cancellation fee of Rs. 3000 is charged. Also, in either of the two cases, the change fee is Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,500, respectively.

Cancellation fee in case of 0-3 days, 4 and above is Rs 5,000 and Rs 4,500. The change fee is Rs 4,000 and 3,500. For Europe sector and Instanbul flights, cancellation fee is Rs 6,500 and Rs 6,000. The change fee is Rs 5,000 and Rs 4,500.

Within 24 hours of booking air tickets, passenger can change or cancel flight free of cost.
