With less than a month away for the Eid Al Adha holiday in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai issued a reminder on its Twitter handle on the procedure for Indian nationals to bring their family members and friends to the Gulf nation to celebrate.

It was informed those with Indian passports that are already residency visa holders of the United Kingdom (UK) or the European Union can avail a visa-on-arrival in the UAE.
"Indian citizens holding normal passports with a residence visa from the UK and European Union countries can take an entry permit on all UAE entry points, provided the validity of the residence visa issues by the UK or European union is not less than six months," GDRFA said.
These passengers with Indian passports will have to proceed to the Marhaba service counter to get an entry permit by paying Dh100 in fee and Dh20 in service charges. The maximum stay permit will be 14 days, which can be extended once by paying a fee of Dh250 and Dh20 in service charges. The extension allows a stay for 28 additional days.
If the tourist overstays the visa permit, he/she will incur a fine of Dh100 per additional day they are in the UAE and will be charged an additional departure permit fee of Dh200.
