If you have received a free gift from the National Bank of India then do not take the bait and as a result, you should and should beware of phishing links offering freebies.
Unknown websites could be hazardous to your account credentials when it comes to account privacy, hence SBI has issued a warning via its Twitter handle that "Cookies are used to improve your web browsing experience. However, some cookies from unauthentic, unsafe websites could be harmful to your privacy. Be alert and stay safe with SBI."
SBI has warned in a video Tweet that "Not all cookies are safe, some come with monsters and steal your data. Do not accept cookies from unknown and unsafe websites. These cookies can steam your personal data and harm you."
If you have been a victim of any of the above-mentioned account scams, please report it to report.phishing@sbi.co.in. Always be wary of any type of banking fraud, and always follow the tips by SBI for avoiding online fraud and phishing attacks.
