Adani Airport Holdings announced the termination of its ground handling agreements with Celebi, a Turkish firm, for Mumbai and Ahmedabad airports. This decision follows the Indian government's revocation of Celebi's security clearance. Adani has instructed Celebi to promptly transfer all ground handling facilities to ensure smooth airport operations.

The company operates several airports, including those in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Mangalore, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Thiruvananthapuram. "Following the government of India's decision to revoke Celebi's security clearance, we have terminated the ground handling concession agreements with Celebi at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport CSMIA and Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport SVPIA," stated an Adani spokesperson.
Ground Handling Operations
Adani Airport Holdings assured that airport services will remain uninterrupted as new ground handling agencies have been appointed. The company emphasised its commitment to maintaining high service standards and prioritising national interests. "Ground handling operations at our airports will remain unaffected. We are fully committed to upholding the highest standards of service and national interest," the spokesperson added.
All current employees of Celebi at Mumbai and Ahmedabad airports will transition to the new agencies under their existing employment terms. This move ensures continuity for the workforce while maintaining operational efficiency at these airports.
The termination of Celebi's agreements is part of Adani's strategy to ensure compliance with national security requirements. By swiftly replacing Celebi with new agencies, Adani aims to provide seamless service to airlines operating at these major airports.
This development underscores Adani's proactive approach in managing airport operations while aligning with governmental directives. The company's swift action reflects its dedication to ensuring uninterrupted airport services and adhering to regulatory standards.
