Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has recently undergone significant leadership changes to propel the growth of Adani Infrastructure India Limited. In an official exchange filing, the group announced that Bimal Dayal, the current CEO of the Transmission business, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Adani Infrastructure India Limited.
In his new role, Dayal is set to lead the implementation of a robust pipeline of infrastructure projects spanning thermal, renewable, and green hydrogen. This strategic transition aligns seamlessly with the broader vision of the Adani portfolio, which has disclosed plans to invest over Rs 7 lakh crore in the next decade, solidifying its position as India's largest infrastructure player.

The move has received formal approval from the board of directors of AESL. Anil Sardana, the managing director of AESL, and Kandarp Patel, responsible for overseeing all verticals of the company, will take charge of the growth initiatives in transmission, distribution, and smart meters. This realignment underscores the commitment to achieving an annual growth rate of over 15% in the infrastructure sector.
The Adani portfolio, represented by Adani Enterprises Limited, has successfully diversified into various sectors such as ports, airports, solar manufacturing, roads, metros and rails, defence and aerospace, and data centres. The recent executive-level changes reflect the group's dedication to continuous improvement and growth across its portfolio.
Adani Energy Solutions Limited, positioned as a multidimensional organization within the Adani portfolio, plays an important role in the energy domain, encompassing power transmission, distribution, smart metering, and cooling solutions. As the country's largest private transmission company, AESL operates across 14 states with a cumulative transmission network of 20,000 ckm and 53,000 MVA transformation capacity.
In distribution, AESL serves over 12 million consumers in metropolitan Mumbai and the industrial hub of Mundra SEZ. With a focused approach to smart metering, AESL aims to become India's leading smart metering integrator. The company's integrated offerings, including the expansion of its distribution network through parallel licenses, underscore its commitment to transforming the energy landscape in a reliable, affordable, and sustainable manner.
The strategic leadership changes in AESL and Adani Infrastructure are poised to make substantial contributions to the global energy and infrastructure sectors, building upon their successful track record of completing projects.
