Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed state officials to ensure farmers receive an adequate supply of fertiliser. During a meeting with senior officials, including the state chief secretary and principal secretaries from the agriculture and cooperative departments, he discussed the availability of fertilisers. The focus was on delivering fertilisers through cooperative societies and government channels.

Ensuring Affordable Fertiliser Supply
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of providing fertilisers at reasonable prices to avoid disruptions in crop production. He urged officials to coordinate with the central government for timely fertiliser supply. This collaboration aims to maintain a steady flow of resources essential for farming activities in the state.
Additionally, Yogi Adityanath instructed officials to ensure farmers have access to necessary amenities at distribution sites. He highlighted the need for proper arrangements such as orderly queues, drinking water, shaded areas, and seating facilities. These measures aim to make the distribution process smooth and farmer-friendly.
Monitoring and Preventing Misconduct
To oversee the distribution process effectively, the Chief Minister called for a dedicated monitoring mechanism. He asked officials to form district-level teams responsible for tracking distribution, ensuring transparency, and submitting regular reports. This initiative is expected to prevent black marketing and hoarding of fertilisers.
The statement also mentioned that Yogi Adityanath issued a stern warning against offenders involved in such practices. Strict action will be taken against those found guilty of disrupting the fair distribution of fertilisers. This approach aims to safeguard farmers' interests and maintain integrity in the supply chain.
By implementing these measures, Uttar Pradesh aims to support its farmers effectively. Ensuring timely and affordable access to fertilisers is crucial for sustaining agricultural productivity in the region.
