Aero India 2025: Bengaluru airport authorities have reportedly received a bomb threat through email for a particular airport that is open for commercial airlines. This airport is called Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). The threat has sparked concerns for the mega airshow that has taken place from February 10th onward at the metro city's Yelahanka Air Force Base. As per the report, the airport police have registered an FIR.
The threat was sent on February 8th, just two days ago the AERO India show. It warned about drone attacks on landing flights. 
The email which was sent by mahanteshs6699@proton.me to the Bengaluru airport, said, "THERE WILL BE A DRONE ATTACK ON LANDING FLIGHTS IN BANGALORE, CHENNAI OR KERALA AIRPORT IF I DID NOT GET ANY ANSWER FOR MY LETTER FROM BASAVARAJ BOMMAI (MP EX CHIEF MINISTER KARNATAKA)," as reported by Deccan Herald.
The FIR has been filed under sections 125 (endangering the safety of others), 351 (criminal intimidation), and 353 (public mischief) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The report said investigations are ongoing.

Currently, Aero India is being held from 10th to 14th February 2025 at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The first three days are dedicated to business visitors, while the last two days are open to the general public.

Aero India is India's premier aerospace and defence exhibition where global aero vendors and the Indian Air Force (IAF) thrill the spectators with back-to-back aerobatic flying displays, as per the main website.
The theme of the event is "The Runway to a Billion Opportunities". While only business visitors will be allowed on the first three days of the event, general public will have a chance to visit and enjoy the air shows on the last two days, as per Wikipedia.
The first Aero India show that was held on Yelahanka Air Force Station, was in 1996.
