Air India, India's largest international airline, has signed a news distribution deal with Sabre, a global distribution provider based in the United States, to receive advanced network planning consulting services for the airline's worldwide expansion plans.
The multi-year agreement would make it possible for businesses and travel agencies around the world to obtain Air India rates and seats via Sabre's global travel marketplace.
This agreement is a part of Air India's aspirations for growth, which follow the airline's placement of the largest aircraft order in aviation history for 470 aircraft. In order to choose the best routes for its current and future fleet, the airline will also make use of Sabre's consulting experience.

Air India's decision to utilise Sabre's consultancy expertise will assist the airline in developing optimal network plans for its present and upcoming fleet. The consultancy will also assist in determining the most efficient routes for both existing and new aircraft.
Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial & Transformation Officer of Air India, stated that the Indian travel market has made a strong comeback. "We are delighted to have our relationship with Sabre re-established and enhanced at this transformative time for Air India, and the wider Indian travel marketplace."
"This long-term global distribution partnership will support our ambitious growth plans while paving the ground for our transition towards a more dynamic, merchandising-focused model, designed to unlock the value of Air India's products and services," added Aggarwal.
Tata Group-owned Air India has revealed its new five-year strategy, named Vihaan.AI, aimed at transforming the airline. The plan involves increasing the airline's fleet and network, enhancing the customer experience and improving operational dependability.
The company recently said it will deploy chatbots powered by artificial intelligence and other initiatives as part of modernising the digital infrastructure for which it has made an initial investment of $200 million. This new agreement with Sabre comes shortly after the company made that announcement.
According to the company, Sabre's consulting work with Air India entails a thorough market analysis, the creation of new hub and schedule structural designs, thorough planning of the route network and capacity over a 10-year period as well as optimisation of fleet assignment throughout the system.
