Air India On Thursday unveiled its new brand identity with a new logo, as the airline continues its transformation plan. Tata Group took control of loss-making Air India in January 2022. For a long time, the Tata-owned airline has been working on a new logo.
Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran unveiled the new Air India logo, which features red, gold, and purple colours and depicts the airline's aggressive vision for the future.

"It is inspired by the peak of the gold window frame, signifying limitless possibilities, progressiveness, and the airline's bold, confident outlook for the future," the company said in a press release.
Air India Tweeted, "Revealing the bold new look of Air India. Our new livery and design features a palette of deep red, aubergine, gold highlights and a chakra-inspired pattern. Travellers will begin to see the new logo and design starting December 2023."

This year, as part of its restructuring plan, the airline will lease and purchase 20 wide-body aircraft. In addition, in the middle of the year, a USD 400 million programme to totally restore the interiors of its legacy fleet of 43 widebody aircraft will begin.
Air India had also revamped menus on international and domestic routes, launched Premium Economy seats for the first time ever on select long-haul flights and insourced some of the critical customer service functions.
