Ayodhya Airport Buzzes with Chartered Flights for Grand Ram Temple Consecration

The Ayodhya airport witnessed a significant increase in air traffic on Monday, January 22, as numerous individuals flew into the city to attend the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple. The event, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, drew a large number of attendees, including prominent personalities from various fields.

Chartered Flights Booked for the Ceremony

According to Captain R K Bali, President of the Business Aircraft Operators Association (BAOA), approximately 100 chartered flights were booked for the day, with around 50 of them being business jets. This surge in chartered flights highlights the importance and grandeur of the consecration ceremony.

Airport Handles Numerous Flight Movements

Earlier in the day, airport officials anticipated at least 100 flight movements, including landings and departures. On Sunday, the airport had already handled around 90 flight movements as many corporate leaders and prominent individuals arrived in Ayodhya for the event.

Prominent Attendees at the Ceremony

Among the notable attendees at the consecration ceremony were Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, business tycoons Mukesh Ambani and Lakshmi N Mittal, and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. The guest list for the event included approximately 8,000 individuals, with a select list of 506 A-listers comprising prominent politicians, leading industrialists, top film stars, sportspersons, diplomats, judges, and high priests.

The Ayodhya airport played a crucial role in facilitating the arrival of attendees for the Ram temple consecration ceremony. The surge in chartered flights and the high number of flight movements underscore the significance of this momentous event, which brought together individuals from various walks of life to celebrate the consecration of the iconic temple.
