The results of the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections are being declared today. The counting of votes began at 8:00 AM on Friday across all designated centres under tight security arrangements.
By 9:30 AM, early trends showed the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) taking a strong lead as per Election Commission (ECI) website.

- Mahagathbandhan leading in 117 seats
- BJP crosses the 50-mark, leading in 77 constituencies
Postal ballots are currently being counted, and more definitive trends are expected as the day progresses.
The elections were conducted in two phases, the first on 6 November covering 121 constituencies, and the second on 11 November covering the remaining 122 seats to elect a total of 243 members to the state assembly.
Bank Holiday Tomorrow: Will Banks to Remain Open on November 15?
In addition to today's normal operations, banks across India will also remain open on Saturday, 15 November. According to RBI guidelines, only the second and fourth Saturdays of every month are treated as bank holidays. Since November 15 falls on the third Saturday, banks will operate with full in-person services.
Bank holidays in India vary by state, depending on national, regional, and religious festivals. However, no state-specific holiday has been declared for November 15, ensuring uninterrupted banking services nationwide.
