Bank Holidays in July: Banks will remain shut for more than ten days next month in July including public holidays, Sundays, and two Saturdays. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has notified bank holidays for all the regions across India in advance for financial year 2025-26.
As per the RBI bank holiday calendar, banks will remain closed for 13 days in July including Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays. Bank holidays issued under RBI's Negotiable Instruments Act have not been issued for across the country and may vary from region to region.

RBI has notified bank holidays on the occasion of Kharchi Puja, Guru Hargobind Ji's Birthday, Beh Deinkhlam, Harela, Death Anniversary of U Tirot Singh, Ker Puja, Drukpa Tshe-zi, etc. Here are all the details about the upcoming bank closure dates.
Bank Holiday On July 3, Kharchi Puja
As per the RBI Holiday calendar, all banks will remain shut in Agartala region on the occasion of Kharchi Puja on July 3. Kharchi Puja is a prominent festival in Tripura, which is focused on the worship of the fourteen gods, also known s Chaturdasha Devata. The week-long festival's celebration generally starts in the first week of July. The festival is known for its elaborate rituals and cultural vibrancy.
Bank Holiday on July 5, Guru Hargobind Ji's Birthday
Banks in Jammu and Srinagar regions will remain shut on July 5 on the occasion of Guru Hargobond Ji's Birthday. Guru Hargobind Ji was the sixth of the ten Gurus of the Sikh religion. Hebecame Guru at a very young age after his father, Guru Arjan, was persecuted by Mughal emperor Jahangir. As per reports, he introduced the process of militarisation to Sikhism and symbolised it by wearing two swords.

Banks will remain shut on July 14 and July 17 in Shillong region on the occasion of Beh Deinkhlam, a popular festival in Meghalaya. As per the state government's official website, Beh Deinkhlam is one of the most culturally rich festival celebrated in teh state, especially among the Pnars. The festival's name means 'chasing away the Demon of Cholera". The festival is celebrated annually in July after the sowing period. It is one of the most important dance festival of the Jaintia tribes. The festival marks the performance of rituals to seek god's blessings for a bumper harvest. Bank holidau in the region on July 17 will be held to mark the death Anniversary of U Tirot Singh.
Bank Holiday on July 16 on Harela
Banks in Dehradun region will remain closed on the occasion of Harela on July 16. The Hindu festival, popular in Kumaon region, is celebrated with huge joy and fervour across the area. Harela means 'Day of Green' and it represents the new harvest brought on by the rainy season. THe festival is celebrated mainly in the month of July, specifically in the 'Shravan month' of the Hindu calendar.
Bank Holiday on July 19
Banks across the Agartala region will remain shut on July 19 on the occasion of Ker Puja, which is a centuries-old tradition linked to the royal era of Tripura. The ritual is celebrated with traditional fervour and devotion across the state.
Bank Holiday on July 28
Banks will remain closed on July 28 on the occasion of Drukpa Tshe-zi in Gangtok region. Drukpa Tshe-zi is a popular Buddhist festival which is celebrated on the fourth day of the sixth month of the Tibetian lunar calendar. The occasion marks the commemoration of Lord Buddha's first sermon at Sarnath.
