Bank Holidays This Week: While most services such as online transactions, fixed deposit bookings and balance checks can be completed digitally, several important financial tasks still require a visit to a bank branch. Banks are scheduled to remain closed for nearly three days in the coming week, from February 16 to 20, as per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar.
However, these bank holidays may vary from state to state, and an unplanned visit without knowing about bank holidays may lead to a delay in financial task completion and other details.

Bank Holidays Next Week
Banks are scheduled to remain closed for three days in the coming week, ie on February 18, 19 and 20 on the occasion of Losar, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, and State Day/Statehood Day in certain regions.
Bank Holiday on February 18
Banks in the Gangtok region are scheduled to remain closed on Wednesday, February 18, on the occasion of Losar. The festival marks the arrival of the new year in Tibetan culture. Losar is a 3-15 day festival which is celebrated in Tibet, Bhutan, Nepal, and certain parts of India, including Ladakh, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh. The Losar festival is usually celebrated in February or March and involves rituals, cleaning homes, wearing new clothes, feasting, etc.
Bank Holiday on February 19
Banks will remain shut on February 19 in Belapur, Mumbai and Nagpur regions on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. The occasion marks the birth anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj, the first Chhatrapati of the Marathas. Apart from the bank holiday in Maharashtra, schools, colleges and other state government offices are also expected to remain shut on the day.
Bank Holiday On February 20
Banks are scheduled to remain closed in the Itanagar and Aizawl regions on Friday, February 20, on the occasion of Arunachal Pradesh Statehood Day.
Arunachal Pradesh Statehood Day is celebrated every year to commemorate the formation of Arunachal Pradesh as the 24th state of India. Arunachal Pradesh transitioned from a Union Territory to a full-fledged state under the State of Arunachal Pradesh Act, 1986.
