BESCOM is once again carrying out Power cuts in several areas between January 25 and January 27 because of the scheduled maintenance works. According to official information shared by BESCOM , the power cut will impact parts of Tumkur and Kolar districts, causing inconvenience to households, businesses, and essential services.

Power Outage in Tumkur Till January 27
In Tumkur, BESCOM has announced intermittent power outages from January 24 to January 27, with the disruption continuing until January 27 due to feeder maintenance work under BESCOM Urban Sub-Division-1.
As per the notice, areas expected to face power supply interruptions include Belagumba, Belagumba Village, Lambani Tandya, Jotipura, S.S. Layout, Kundur, Kundur Village, Venkatadri Layout, Hanumanthapura, Kuvempunagar, Adarshanagar, Atthathota, Jaganmathapura, Sharadadevi Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, Nirvani Layout, Agnibanniraya Nagar, Bhagya Nagar, and Haronahalli.
BESCOM officials stated that the power cut is necessary to ensure network reliability and system safety, and consumers are requested to cooperate during the outage period.
Power Cut in Kolar on January 25
Meanwhile, Kolar district will experience a power outage on January 25 due to third-quarter maintenance work carried out by the Kolar K.V.P.V.V. Transmission Line (TL) and Substation (SS) Department.
The maintenance will take place at the 220 kV Receiving Center in Kolar, impacting 66/11 kV power substations that receive electricity from this facility. As a result, several regions supplied by these substations will face power supply disruption.
Areas likely to be affected include Kolar, Vakkaleri, Sugatur, Bangarpet, Talagunda, Shettimadmagala, Tamaka, Vemagal, Kelanur, Power Grid, Narasapura, and Railway Traction 1+2.
BESCOM's Executive Engineer has urged residents to plan their day accordingly and extend cooperation during the scheduled outage.

The BESCOM power cut is part of routine maintenance which is done to improve power infrastructure and reduce unexpected breakdowns in the future. While the outages are temporary, residents in affected areas are advised to charge essential devices, store backup power, and plan work schedules in advance. With multiple BESCOM power outages scheduled across Tumkur and Kolar, consumers are encouraged to stay updated through official BESCOM channels for any changes or extensions in outage timings.
