Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate a four-day textiles exhibition, Bharat Tex 2024 Expo, from February 26 to 29. This mega event will be held at the Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi complexes in New Delhi and is poised to be the largest textile fair globally in terms of exhibition area.
Uniting the Textile Sector
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted the significance of this exhibition, marking the first time the entire textile sector will come together on a single platform. Bharat Tex 2024 Expo aims to showcase India's prowess as a reliable supplier of textile products, encompassing the entire value chain under one roof.
Bharat Mobility Global Expo Concludes
Minister Goyal also provided an update on the recently concluded three-day Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, which took place in New Delhi. The auto sector exhibition witnessed the participation of over 1,000 exhibitors, including more than 100 startups, and attracted an impressive 1.28 lakh visitors.
Expanding Business Opportunities
The minister expressed optimism about the positive impact of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo on the sector's growth. He noted that numerous discussions on potential partnerships and investments were initiated during the exhibition, both with private entities and partner state governments. Additionally, several product launches took place, further enhancing the event's significance.
Discussions on the Future of Mobility
Minister Goyal also mentioned a meeting he held with approximately 150 CEOs and senior leaders from the mobility sector on February 2. The discussions focused on shaping the future of mobility and India's plans to transition towards a green and sustainable future.
Impressive Participation
The Bharat Mobility Global Expo featured the participation of over 28 vehicle manufacturers and more than 600 auto component manufacturers, showcasing the industry's diversity and potential.
