Vibeesh Palliyali Wins Dh15 Million Grand Prize in Big Ticket Abu Dhabi Raffle
Palliyali purchased a ticket for the popular Big Ticket Abu Dhabi raffle, and his ticket number 394150 was eventually selected as the grand prize winner in Series 284 of the draw held in Abu Dhabi.
The announcement quickly drew attention across expatriate communities, particularly among Indians living in the United Arab Emirates.

Dh15 Million Win in Big Ticket Series 284
According to organisers of the Big Ticket Abu Dhabi raffle, Palliyali purchased the winning ticket on February 28, just days before the draw results were finalised. The live draw, originally scheduled earlier in the week, was delayed due to regional developments, which extended the anticipation among participants waiting to hear the outcome.
When the results were finally announced in Abu Dhabi, Palliyali's ticket number 394150 was declared the grand prize winner of Dh15 million, placing him among the latest expatriates whose fortunes have changed through the well-known raffle programme.
Past winners of similar jackpots have often used their winnings to support families, clear debts, purchase homes, invest in businesses, or secure long-term education plans for their children.
Know About Big Ticket Abu Dhabi Raffle
The Big Ticket Abu Dhabi draw operates as a monthly raffle program, with tickets available both online and through authorised outlets across the UAE, including kiosks at major airport terminals in Abu Dhabi. Participants buy tickets for a chance to win the headline jackpot along with several secondary prizes announced during the draw.
Jackpot amounts in the raffle can reach tens of millions of dirhams, making it one of the most widely followed prize draws in the Gulf region. Over the years, the program has produced multiple multi-million-dirham winners.
Organisers say that earlier draws have featured jackpots ranging from Dh15 million to Dh25 million and sometimes even higher. In one previous draw, a participant won Dh20 million, while another notable case in Series 280 saw an Indian expatriate walk away with a Dh25 million prize.
The draw has built a particularly strong following among expatriate workers in the UAE, including residents from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other South Asian countries. Many participants often pool funds with friends, relatives, or colleagues to purchase tickets together, sharing both the cost and the potential prize if their ticket wins.
Such group participation has resulted in several shared jackpots in the past, allowing winners to divide multi-million-dirham prizes among multiple households.
The accessibility of the raffle is another reason for its popularity. People from a wide range of professions including engineers, drivers, small business owners and office employees, regularly take part in the draw.
